The Haiti Outreach Program provides financial assistance to St. Michel's. In a country with few social services, the church is often called upon to fill this role. The priest at St. Michel's parish makes his rectory in Boucan-Carre available to our volunteers who travel to Haiti. Participation with local residents in the services at St. Michel's and in the remote chapels is an important part of our work in Haiti.
We have undertaken a number of projects in support of St. Michel's Parish. In 2014 we funded construction of a new roof for the church. Led by St. Anselm Parish in St. Louis, a new rectory was dedicated in March 2017. The rectory will provide expanded space, including bathrooms, for our volunteer missions in Haiti.
